Following its
recent extravagant Rolls Royce Ghost 'Diva' makeover
Italy's undisputed 'bling' experts, Fenice Milano, have
now tackled a car that is right at the other end of the
size and cost scale: Fiat's tiny convertible 500C, which
after a lavish customisation programme now comes
plastered in 24 carat gold finishings and with a teak
						interior.La Dolce
Vita, is the name given to the reworked Fiat 500C
model by Fenice Milano that has used the convertible 1.4
petrol automatic version as its base. "Blinking
at the golden age of the Italian cinema and lifestyle,
that attracted many international stars and jetsetters,"
say Fenice Milano, "La Dolce Vita represents the
flagship of Fenice Milano's production. Thanks to its
small size (355cm length, 165cm large and 149cm height),
this small jewel is ideal for those who want to move
comfortably in the city without giving up luxury and
						exclusivity."
						Now embellished by many visual
inserts in 24 carat gold, and fine woods like teak
manufactured by Fenice Milano, the company's 500C
interpretation benefits from an ECU upgrade, changes to
the suspension and a new intake and exhaust system.
						La Dolce Vita will be
available in two colours: the Sportiva version is
proposed in a multilayer chromium Deep Red, realised by
overlapping ten different layers of varnishing to create
a particular semichrome effect, while in what Fenice
Milano says is a more "sober and refined style", comes
the Classica version which has been created in a
white golden pearlescent varnish that includes small
						particles of 24 carat gold.
						For both versions the seats
have been ergonomically redesigned and the internal
elements are in leather and Alcantara with handmade
exposed seams. Moreover, in the passenger compartment of
La Dolce Vita the console has been entirely
redesigned, moving the instrument cluster into a central
position like the Mini and embellishing it with a golden
frame, while the dashboard is now finished in teak with
24 carat gold inserts whose profiles are hand shaped by
Fenice Milano's staff. The steering wheel, redesigned
after starting from the original one, has its external
edges finished in teak and the internal ones in leather
with the switch controls in 24 carat gold while the
original carpets have been substituted with a teak floor
						as have the door panels.
						The lengthy list of components
of the 500C La Dolce Vita to be finished in a 24
carat gold coating includes the wheel arch finishing
trims, C-pillar and roof edges, decorations and badges
(the Fiat badges are replaced with Fenice Milano's crest
in gold at the front and rear as well as on the
B-pillar), bonnet and bumper inserts, sill mouldings,
headlight and foglight finishing trims, external door
mirrors, door handles, the new 17-inch custom wheels,
exhaust tail pipe and bootlid trim. The rear lights have
						also been customised.
