The new Brazilian-built
Fiat Uno is starting to conquer the Latin America. Soon
after its arrival at the Fiat dealerships in Argentina,
the model has been presented at the Salón del Automóvil
de Santiago, in Chile, which was held at Espacio Riesco.
To promote the over 11 million possibilities of
personalisation available, Fiat Chile drew on a
promotional idea that has been used in Europe this year,
and asked web visitors to send in their photo through a
campaign at its official Facebook channel in Chile. In
little more than 40 hours, over 1,000 people had sent
their images, which decorate the model exhibited in the
event’s pavilion.
In much the way the
Fiat 500 Thousandth was turned into a showcar bearing
images of faces and presented at profile events
including this autumn's Paris Mondial de l'Automobile,
for the recent Salón del Automóvil de Santiago a Fiat Uno Way,
equipped with the FIRE Evo 1.4 engine, saw more than 800
photos integrated into the design, in order to show that
each Fiat Uno can be unique.
The New Fiat Uno will
be sold on the Chilean market as of the coming year.
Another highlight of the Fiat brand in the Santiago Auto
Show was the Double-Cab Strada, a sales success for the
company in Latin America.
