Hamann has expanded its
'Victory' specification and styling upgrade theme for
Lamborghini's Gallardo, presenting the new "Victory II"
kit which includes greater use of carbon components and
is focused around the current-generation LP560-4. The
sports car's body also now becomes broader thanks to a
new body kit and the engine's
performance is slightly increased.
Hamann
sees scissor doors as being part of the character of any
Lamborghini sports car and also offers these for the
Gallardo as part of its Victory II package. The body
design upgrade starts with a new front lower spoiler
section which Hamann says its inspired by racing designs
and which features a centre carbon part. With new wings
at the front and matching-style large curved wing extensions
with profiled sections at the back, the
"Victory II" kit renders the Gallardo with a stand-out
appearance which is further enhanced by the addition of
extended side skirts and an air inlet on the
roof – components that are also available in carbon-fibre.
The back end of the sports car features a new
diffuser and a new design large rear wing, which comes
in either fibre-glass or carbon-fibre, which Hamann
claims improves the overall aerodynamics. As part of the
styling package a carbon layer can also be
applied to the bonnet.
Hamann
equips the "Victory II" kit for the Gallardo LP560-4,
which was introduced by Lamborghini in 2008 and is still
in production, with 20 inch "Edition Race" rims
with a special varnish finish in order to emphasise the new
dynamic look. At the same time the reduced unsprung
masses, Hamann claims, improves the handling of the car
as well as the acceleration and
braking response. Its recommended wheel/tyre combination
is 9.5Jx20 inches with 235/30ZR20 tyres at the front and
13Jx20 rims with 325/25ZR20 tyres at the rear.
By
adjusting the engine electronics, Hamann claims to have squeezed
a small amount of
additional performance out of the Gallardo LP560-4,
increasing its power to from a standard 560 HP up to 580
HP (427 kW) with the maximum torque now coming in at 575 Nm.
A claimed top speed of 328 km/h can now be reached. The
upgrade also features new tailpipes that are fitted
fitted onto the standard exhaust system.
Inside the cockpit of
the Italian 5.2-litre V10-engineD sports car the new
Hamann "Victory II" kit features a
fourteen-part carbon set which includes decorative
finishes for components such as the
steering wheel and the door handles. The sports
seats, which are new from Hamann, come with a carbon back render
finish and a claimed improved seating position. Hamann's
designers will also create bespoke interiors to
customers indiviual requirements.
