A very
special exhibition of historic Lancia cars has opened at
the
Pantheon Basel - Forum in Switzerland, where more than
forty evocative cars that shaped its rich history can be
admired by visitors in the equally stunning surroundings
of this complex. This display of the Italian marque's
famous "oldtimers" can be viewed until 5th April 2010.
Visitors will be
surprised
at the forty two Lancia models that have been specially
chosen to make up the collection, and most of them are
presented in beautiful concours condition. Laid out around
the sweeps of the curved deck of the beautiful 'Roundbuilding'
of the Pantheon they tell the rich history of this great
carmaker.
Heini Rutz,
Member of the Executive board of the Lancia Club Suisse,
has curated the exibition, individually selecting and
organising the cars, most of which are the property of the
members' of the Lancia Club Suisse.
From the Lambda
all the way to the Thema, the most important Lancia cars from
a carmaker that boasts more than a century of innovative history
are present at the Pantheon until April, including the emotional Stratos and
Delta HF Intergrale. Alongside the many production masterpieces there are also a series
of special bodied Lancia models, such as the Aurelia B52, Aprilia Pininfarina
Roadster and Augusta Pininfarina Cabriolet for visitors to see and admire in
this beautiful setting.
The exhibition demonstrates
the strong
sign of life of the Lancia marque as a brand new Delta 1.9 DI TurboJet 200 CV
has been
placed, as a lovely and focused contrast of 85 years of history on, beside the
stately Lambdas.
The Pantheon is
the most important forum for Oldtimer cars in Switzerland
with rotating exhibitions every four months, garaging for
privately owned cars and the possibility for professional
car restoration in the building. A superb
restaurant and the hall for events are also located in the
premises.
A special
brochure detailing this exhibition is now available with
photos and descriptions of all the cars in the exposition.
