For the fifth
year running, Lancia will be the main sponsor of the Venice
International Film Festival, the 67th edition of which is
due to run from the 1st to the 11th of September this year.
Lancia will also be providing the festival’s organisers with
a fleet of new special series Lancia Delta “Hard Black” cars
for use at the event. (The Lancia Delta “Hard Black” is the
first ever production model to feature the exclusive gloss
black roof and matt black body colour scheme). Distinguished
by the symbol of the Lion of Venice, the Italian flag and
the Film Festival logo on their sides, these prestigious
flagships represent the height of Italian elegance and are
the perfect choice for carrying the top names and stars of
the cinema to and from the Lido and on their visits to the
red carpet.
After the success of previous editions, the Lancia Café is
returning to Venice this year too. The Café is the famous
meeting place on the terrace of the Hotel Excelsior in Lido.
This exclusive but welcoming environment offers the
festival’s protagonists a chance to meet up in a refined but
relaxing atmosphere. The Lancia Café also provides the ideal
location for the media to get together with new talents,
producers, directors and actors for one-to-one interviews.
The Lancia Café will be hosting events and meetings
organised by Lancia as well as by production houses, leading
magazines and cinema institutions for the duration of the
festival.
By sponsoring the 67th Venice International Film Festival,
Lancia is consolidating its links with the world of the
cinema even further. These links are already close, as
demonstrated by the appearance of Lancia cars in famous
films and by the support that Lancia has given to the
world’s most significant, high-class, stylish and
international film festivals since 2006. It should be
remembered also that the Lancia Delta has been the official
car of the world’s most prestigious film festivals since
2008, has starred in original advertisements featuring
Richard Gere and played a leading and revolutionary role in
the film “Angels & Demons”.
