					  Heading the list of eagerly
anticipated cars to arrive in New Zealand in 2010 is the Maserati GranCabrio,
the unique glamorous open top Maserati that compliments Quattroporte and
GranTurismo from the Italian sports car maker.

					“Maserati has a
long and illustrious history of open top sports cars, each
of which has set a new benchmark in their respective eras,
but the GranCabrio is a first for Maserati, offering, as it
does, a full four seat convertible,” says Edward Butler,
General Manager for Maserati in Australia and New Zealand.
“Maserati has also managed to produce a car that is, if
anything, even more beautiful than the acclaimed GranTurismo
					– and it maintains this beauty whether the roof is up or
down. The GranCabrio is not just an open top beauty; it also
maintains Maserati’s standards for performance, roadholding,
					handling and exclusivity.”

					Powered by a 4.7
litre 323 kW V8 engine, the Maserati offerings exemplary
performance, which, thanks to a new chassis, using advanced
materials to reduce weight, ensures that the performance is
available around corners as it is in a straight line.
Remarkably for a convertible and especially one with a
classic fabric roof, the GranCabrio has the aerodynamic drag
figure as the Coupe on which it is based, enhancing
performance, reducing fuel consumption and emissions and
ensuring a quiet, comfortable interior when the roof is
					raised.

					The Maserati
GranCabrio will arrive in New Zealand in the second quarter
of 2010. Both New Zealand Maserati dealers, Continental Car
Services in Auckland and Euromarque in Christchurch, are
taking orders now to ensure that new owners of the
GranCabrio are able to choose exactly the car they want from
the possible four million combinations of colour, trim and
equipment available, as with all Maseratis, with the
					GranCabrio.
