07.04.2010 MASERATI NORTH AMERICA CEO ASSUMES WORLDWIDE COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR ROLE

MARK MCNABB

Mark McNabb will be appointed worldwide Commercial Director of Maserati. McNabb, who is currently the President and CEO of Maserati North America, will retain his present position and will serve in both capacities.

McNabb, who has been serving as President and CEO of Maserati North America since joining the Trident on June 1, 2009, in his new position will report to Harald Wester, CEO of Maserati SpA. His new responsibility could indicate a slow down in the ferocious turnover of Maserati's North American CEOs, and comes as the Trident brand is enjoying a very positive start to the year stateside, albeit a run coming in relation to a disastrous 2009 when it felt all the effects of being one of the hardest-hit carmakers during the global recession.

McNabb joined Maserati last summer after thirteen months with GM where he was responsible for sales and marketing control of the carmaker's "premium channel", comprising of the Cadillac, Hummer and Saab brands, in the U.S. and Canada. Much of his year at GM was occupied with trying to find buyers to offload the latter two brands as their sales collapsed.

McNabb arrived at GM after a second, year-long stint at Nissan in the United States. Previously he had worked for Nissan, as Vice President and General Manager of the Nissan division of Nissan USA, after a long period at its luxury niche Infiniti brand, where he was corporate vice president of its global business unit. With two decades at Nissan under his belt he left to join Mercedes-Benz in 2005 as vice president of sales and marketing when the Japanese firm moved its North American headquarters from California to Nashville, joining around half the sales and marketing staff in quitting the company. Sales flattened out during his absence and he quickly returned and was welcomed back to Nissan in the summer of 2007 to take up his old position again.

Raffaele Fusilli, who served as Commercial Director at Maserati from 2007 to 2010, is leaving the company upon request to pursue new professional challenges. He joined Maserati from Ferrari.
