For the third year
running, Maserati GB exhibited its full road range at
Salon Privé in London while stunning historic Trident
models stole the show in the concours which devoted a
dedicated class to the Modenese cars: "The Orsi Era".
The 2010 Salon Privé Concours d’Elégance featured seven
categories that, as well as the special historic
Maserati class ("The Orsi Era"), was also made up of
Bugatti – Pre-War Cars; Alfa Romeo - Pre-1940;
‘Hypercars’ - 200mph+; Jaguar - celebrating 75 years of
the marque; ‘Hollywood Era’; and: 1970s Superbikes. The
Maserati line-up on the lawns of the Hurlingham Club
included the legendary 250 F grand prix single-seater as
well as the production Mistral, Ghibli SS and A6G/54GT.
This year Maserati GB
organised two collaborations for both gentlemen and lady
clients. Last Wednesday, a selected group of gentlemen
clients were treated to experience first hand the
collaboration between Maserati and luxury shoe brand
Berluti, by admiring the bespoke car shoes created for
the occasion, personalised to match some of the colour
combinations available within the Maserati range. To
celebrate this collaboration, a selection of Maserati
accessories and original designs, is currently on
display at the Berluti store, located at 43 Conduit
Street, London.
The next day,
Thursday, saw Maserati GB host an event for their lady
clients, who were joined by model and Maserati
ambassador Jodie Kidd as they attended Salon Privé
Ladies’ Day at the Hurlingham Club. The day started at
the !QMS Medicosmetic Spa in Cadogan Gardens, London,
where clients enjoyed a champagne breakfast and
personalised mini treatments of their choice.
A fleet of Maserati
GranCabrios, Quattroportes and GranTurismos were then on
hand to chauffeur the ultra glamorous ladies to an
exclusive lunch at the Club, where they were able to
admire an amazing selection of classic cars, alongside
the Maserati 2010 range: the Maserati GranCabrio,
flanked by the GranTurismo S and the Quattroporte Sport
GTS, took pride of place on the Supercar Lawn.
