The
medieval Italian town of Cortona is playing host to a
unique festival of art, film and the finest Italian food
and wine, the Tuscan Sun Festival, this week and
Maserati, itself no stranger to art and the pleasure of
the senses, is providing transport for the stars
attending the event, including Sting, Sir Anthony
Hopkins, Charles Dance, Russian soprano Ekaterina
Scherbachenko, Violin superstar Joshua Bell,
distinguished wine critic James Suckling and chef,
Silvia Baracchi, who combine to celebrate the vibrant
life in Tuscany.
The Tuscan Sun Festival,
founded in 2003, is an annual music and art festival that takes place
within the intimate setting of the medieval town of Cortona, in the province of
Arezzo, Tuscany. The August festival offers an exciting program that includes
not only world class concerts, but a daily program of events that explore fine
art, film, culinary and wine, fitness and wellness, and local culture and
history. Each evening, concerts featuring some of the world's most distinguished
artists are performed in the intimate setting of the Romantic-period theatre,
Teatro Signorelli. The steps of Teatro Signorelli spill into the atmospheric
open-air Piazza Signorelli, which transforms for two nights into the venue for
musical galas under the stars.
Maserati’s contribution to the event embodies so much
that is within the Italian spirit that has made the car
maker famous. The Maserati Quattroporte, with its
elegant design and hand crafted interior that will
provide transporter for the guests, will do so to its
own orchestral sound track generated by its unique
engine. Also on hand for the festival will be the
Maserati GranCabrio – and what better way could there be
to experience sensual pleasures of the Tuscan
countryside in summer than with Maserati’s latest four
seat convertible.
Maserati's presence in the Tuscan Sun Festival 2010 is a
sign of continuity and of the desire to maintain its
privileged relationship with the world of entertainment,
music and art that Maserati has always had. Indeed,
since the 1950s, great international artists have been
attracted to the elegance and performance of Maserati.
Maserati is happy to participate in this important event
showcasing the excellence of Italian craftsmanship and
Italian industry through its fascinating range of
automobiles.
