Iveco has delivered new vehicles to the
Fiat-Yamaha Team, which have been specially prepared with the colours of the
nine times World Champion Valentino Rossi and his team-mate Jorge Lorenzo.

						In a ceremony held
at the Monza circuit, near the headquarters of Yamaha
Motor Racing in Gerno di Lesmo were Franco Miniero,
Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing and Marco
Monticelli, Vice President, External Relations &
Communication, to deliver the keys of the Iveco vehicles
directly to Lin Jarvis, Managing Director of Yamaha
Motor Racing. Also present were General Manager Marco
Riva and Davide Brivio, Manager of the Valentino Rossi
						team.

						The vehicles, 4
						Stralis tractors, (2 AS440S45T/P and 1 AS440S50T/P), in
addition to the two already in use during previous
seasons, and an ECODaily 35S14SV, semi-windowed van will
be used by the team for the transfer of motorcycles and
equipment for the construction of structures within the
						circuit paddocks, worldwide.

						This initiative
demonstrates the partnership that Iveco further
developed before the start of the racing season with the
Fiat Yamaha team, but it was an opportunity also to
celebrate the first race victory of the MotoGP World
Championship, held over the last weekend in Qatar, where
the team created an exciting one-two finish in which
Valentino Rossi crossed the line in first place followed
by his team mate, Jorge Lorenzo.

						The partnership
with the Fiat Yamaha Team is part of the wider Iveco
strategy, increasingly tied to the sports world and in
keeping with its strong international identity,
demonstrating the vitality and energy of the company,
which has always aligned its name with partners of
excellence in sport, beginning with the most recent and
important link with the world of rugby, the All Blacks,
the world's most famous team, not forgetting the role of
official supplier to the Scuderia Ferrari.

Lin Jarvis said: "It's a real
pleasure to work with Iveco. Of course they are a part
of the Fiat group, who have been our title sponsor for
four years, and it's great to further extend the
partnership in this way. It's exciting to get this new
fleet of trucks, which we shall use in Europe to
transport all of our equipment, bikes, spare parts and
hospitality. Moving our team around is a huge logistical
job and we've worked closely with Iveco and Fiat to find
exactly the right vehicles. When you look at our bikes
and the trucks side by side it's difficult to see the
similarities but in fact many of the same technologies
are important, such as high performance, efficient
consumption and reliability. These are the key features
of these Iveco trucks and we're looking forward to
						getting them on the road!"
Franco Miniero added: "First of all I
would like to congratulate the Fiat Yamaha Team for the
great result they achieved in Qatar at the first race of
the season. The partnership between Iveco and the Fiat
Yamaha Team has started in the best way and we hope to
continue like this throughout the entire season. Today
we are pleased to announce that from now on the Fiat
Yamaha Team can count on four new Stralis, in addition
to the three they have already been using, and an
ECODaily semi-windowed van. Iveco shares with Fiat
Yamaha the attention to detail that makes Yamaha a
winning team all over the world, and we Italians are
very proud that they have their headquarters here in
Italy. Congratulations to the FYT! We hope that in our
role as Official Sponsor and Premium Supplier we will
accompany you along this winning road and we hope to
give you, as we say in our sign-off, a lot of energy!"
