Scuderia
Ferrari has announced that after two sessions last March
and April at Fiorano, the Ferrari Driver Academy's trio
of young pilots will be back on track for the first time
at the Vallelunga track near Rome next week.
Under
the supervision of the project leader, Luca Baldisserri
and a team of Ferrari engineers, on Tuesday 18 May,
Jules Bianchi, Daniel Zampieri and Mirko Bortolotti will
take turns at the wheel of an F2008 run by the F1
Clienti department. An important role in the training of
these drivers is also undertaken by the ACI-CSAI, which
supports the Ferrari Driver Academy through the
association’s Vallelunga school.
The
programme is aimed at fine tuning the abilities of these
youngsters, alongside highly qualified engineers, who
provide technical training with the aim of preparing
them for a future in Formula 1 and also in the junior
formulae in which they currently race. Jules Bianchi and
Daniel Zampieri are currently in Monaco, alongside the
Scuderia's F1 drivers, where they are taking part in the
GP2 and the Formula Renault 3.5 World Series. Mirko
Bortolotti will have his next outing in the GP3 race at
the Istanbul circuit over the weekend of 30 May.
