Adding to its reputation
as the sole distributor of key European car brands, such
as Jaguar, Fiat, Lamborghini and Bentley, Saad & Trad
has announced that it has become the exclusive
distributor of the Abarth brand in Lebanon.
The official launch of
the Turinese sports brand came during a media gathering held at the Saad
& Trad showrooms, where several Abarth models, including
the limited edition 695 Tributo Ferrari, were put on display, showcasing
the cars' vibrant colours and sporty allure.
The Scorpion brand has
already achieved excellent results worldwide from 2008
to the present day, whereby it has sold nearly 22,000
cars, including 8,400 Abarth 500 versions and 2,700
Abarth Grande Punto cars during 2009, as well as more
than 3,300 performance kits. Abarth is a trendy and
dynamic vehicle with special sporting features, adopting
the slogan "more power to your senses". Each of its
components expresses its vocation for performance: its
incisive engine sound, the noise of its wheels on the
asphalt, its attractive design, its race-tuned
suspension and acceleration worthy of an out-and-out
sports car.
Speaking at the
launch, Michel Trad, Managing Director at Saad & Trad,
said: "We're very proud to introduce a performance brand
such as Abarth to the Lebanese market. We believe that
Abarth is as strong as any other brand we represent. It
has the looks, the record and the performance to achieve
a remarkable success locally." Trad added: "Abarth
provides a unique driving experience that transcends the
idea of a car being just a convenient object, taking the
driver into the realms of powerful emotion. Abarth
reminds you in every detail and at every moment that it
was built with but one purpose: performance."
Also attending the
launch was Mr. Alex Orsi - International Area Manager
and the Abarth official representative who commented on
the strategic alliance between the brand and Saad & Trad,
saying: "The commercial success of Abarth is
complemented by the inexorable growth in dealerships and
official performance centers. We expect the same success
in the trendsetting Lebanese market especially that we
rely on a powerful and resourceful partner, such as Saad
& Trad."
