Anderson Germany's
latest tuning and styling project tackles Ferrari's
acclaimed new 458 Italia sports car, now made over with
a new all-enveloping dark carbon fibre and blacked-out
appearance as well as some under-the-skin tweaks to the
						ECU and exhaust system.
						Externally visible modifications
added by the Dusseldorf-based tuner include
the installation of a new bonnet fitted with two
distinctive carbon air intakes. These air intakes come
with a built-in water drainage system,
so the front trunk of the 458 Italia will remain dry.
						The window glass and
front/rear lighting units have been subjected
to a special tinting treatment while the new carbon exterior package
consists of the aerodynamic aids fitted within the
front apron, a new rear diffuser and the door mirrors as well as
the engine cover. Other new features include the exclusive, in-house 21-inch carbon rims
						matching-painted
in the black body colour shod with 245 tyres at the
						front and 345 –
at the rear. They aim to contrast with yellow-painted brake calipers.
						Software optimisation and an
exhaust system in tandem with special manifolds and
						sports catalytic convertors bring
a claimed performance increase from 570 to 623 HP while torque
improves by a claimed 96 Nm. Anderson Germany says that
						the new exhaust
system has a sound that is reminiscent of a Formula 1
car and that it saves 18 kg over the original as well as
having an exhaust path with a remote-controlled valve
adjusting system which allows for three
different levels of sound to be set. In addition, a specially
developed heat protection sleeve is designed for the
complete system including manifolds, reducing the
temperature by up to 60 percent, and providing increased
security against overheating adding to the claimed power
						increase.
						Complementing the carbon exterior package,
the interior also gets a matching make over. The new
carbon components cover the air vents,
center console, door handles, door sills, steering
wheel, tachometer border trim, shift paddles and the
seat adjustment handles. There is further refinement of the interior in
						featured black colour with
carbon-styled leather combined with black Alcantara and
diamond seams. The sound system also gets an upgrade
with a DVD player, subwoofer, amplifier, speakers and
the Bluetooth. The new Ferrari 458 Black Carbon
Edition will be one of the line-up of customised sport cars
reworked by Anderson Germany that are set to join the
tuner's planned exclusive pan-European event, The
						Anderson Germany Run, in June.
