At the brand new
Eco Targa Florio in September, Ferrari will pay
tribute to the classic Targa Florio and to its historic
route with the Ferrari Tribute to the Targa Florio.

The new route and programme have been created to connect
the history of this legendary race with the earth,
						tastes and aromas of Sicily.
The 2011 route will pay homage to
tradition, retracing the historic route of the "Piccolo
						Circuito delle Madonie"
from the start to the finish line.

So that entrants get a chance to marvel at Sicily's
breathtaking beauty and to sample its wonderful food, a
number of stops in the regularity trials have been
planned. This means that the excitement of the race can
be combined with the discovery of this wonderful region.
As at the historic revivals of the Mille Miglia and the
Coppa Milano-Sanremo, modern and classic Ferraris will
line up at the start and will open the regularity event.

Both modern and classic Ferraris will be taking part in
the Tribute. Cars of the categories sport and sport
prototypes (manufactured from 1948 to 1977) are also
eligible for the Eco Targa Florio Classic and
entrants can choose which event they prefer to enter
(the route and regularity trials will be exactly the
same). All Ferraris manufactured from 1948 to 2011 are
eligible. During the selection process, cars with a
Ferrari Classiche Certificate of authenticity will take
precedence over cars for which the document has not been
						issued.
This year’s edition of the legendary road race takes
place from Thursday, September 29th, to Saturday,
October 1st. It’s a three day event with the start in
Cerda (PA, Italy), the historic Targa Florio starting
point, with scrutineering on either Wednesday September
28th or the morning of Thursday September 29th. The
prize-giving ceremony will be on Sunday, October 2nd at
						Castello Utveggio.
