U.S.
niche luxury goods retailer Neiman Marcus is to offer a
bespoke version of Ferrari's groundbreaking new FF four
seater which will be limited to just ten units and
features a host of upgrades designed to enhance both the
interior and exterior.
Each example of the
Neiman Marcus Ferrari FF will be identified by a
numbered interior plaque and a unique exterior colour
called "Grigio Caldo". Interior features include
soft-touch, semi-aniline leather along with with matching custom
luggage set for the FF, which seats four adults and
offers a class-leading 16 cubic feet of trunk space
The Ferrari FF, created bespoke
for Neiman Marcus, is now listed on its website at
a retail price of US$395,000 which excludes all taxes, title, licensing,
and registration fees, plus delivery and handling
charges. The 10 cars will be delivered next March
through U.S. Ferrari dealers participating in the programme
and will be subject to Ferrari's seven year
complimentary service programme.
This isn't actually the
first time the U.S. luxury retailer has offered a
bespoke car from a Fiat Group division. In 2004 Neiman Marcus offered 60 specially-finished
examples of Maserati's Quattroporte luxury sedan, which actually sold
out in just three minutes after over the phone ordering
opened. The Neiman Marcus Group comprises of a specialty
retail stores division - which includes Neiman Marcus
Stores and Bergdorf Goodman - and the Direct Marketing
division, Neiman Marcus Direct. These retailers offer
upscale assortments of apparel, accessories, jewellery,
beauty and decorative home products targeted at affluent
consumers. It operates 41 Neiman Marcus Stores across
the U.S. and two Bergdorf Goodman stores in Manhattan.
Ferrari's new V12-engined FF boasts a new patented four
wheel drive system and seating for four adults; just 10 units
will produced for Marcus Neiman. On the outside the
unique features of this special Neiman Marcus edition comprises of an
exclusive exterior paint finish ("Grigio Caldo"), a body
coloured front grille and 20-inch diamond-polished
sports wheels. The bespoke interior has been designed by
the Ferrari Atelier Studio in IMaranello and includes a
specially-numbered plaque, "Cuoio Tuscano" semi-aniline
leather, body colour interior accents that aim to
highlight the character of this vehicle, Alcantra piping
and diamond-stitched seats and headliner. As well as these
changes to the car itself Neiman Marcus has created an
exclusive matching leather six-piece luggage set
embroidered with the company's logo while the buyer also
gets an enrollment in the Ferrari Winter Driving
Experience in Aspen, Colorado.
