The
Ferrari 458
Spider received its American unveiling as part of the programme of Art Basel Miami
Beach,
one of the most important modern and contemporary art shows in the North America.
Guests, collectors and clients from all over the world joined Ferrari
Chairman Luca di Montezemolo for an evening to celebrate the
arrival in the US of the latest Ferrari model. The celebration took
place at 1111 Lincoln Road, the modernist building designed by Swiss
architects Herzog & de Meuron, who won the prestigious Pritzker Prize in
2001. A new 3D video from artist Marco Brambilla was also premiered in the
course of the evening. Shot during the last Italian Grand Prix at Monza,
it features clips of the Scuderia Ferrari and its race-time activities,
including spectacular footage of the pit-stops. The sequences have been
edited by the video artist to create “an exhilarating psychological
portrait of the point of view a Formula 1 driver during a race.”
The evening ended with music from American singer-songwriter Janelle
Monŕe whose first album “The ArchAndroid” was an international
success in 2010. |
