Anderson
Germany has tackled another Ferrari tuning project, on
this occasion the tuning firm has given the 458 Italia
sports car a thorough carbon-fibre makeover as well as
improving power and incorporating a new wheel/tyre
option.
Ferrari's dramatic 458 Italia was presented two years
ago, in September 2009, at the Frankfurt IAA as the
successor of the F430. This sports car is equipped with a
V8-engine which comes with a 7-gear dual clutch
transmission and features electronic Vehicle Dynamics
Control, ABS, differential gear and traction control,
all linked together.
Dusseldorf-based
Anderson Germany has dressed the 458 Italia up in a carbon
outfit to create the "458 Carbon Edition". The new
carbon aero package includes a sporty front lip
spoiler, front bumper flaps, wider side skirts, a rear
lip spoiler, engine air outlets, window air intake
grille and front bumper ventilation grilles.
To boost the carbon
'effect' further, the roof, bonnet, mirrors, door
handles, engine cover and diffuser, as well as tail
light trims, have all been manually coated with carbon.
The Anderson Germany
project also gets a claimed performance upgrade. It is
claimed to have 53 more horsepower, along with the
optimised software. This increase was possible, says the
tuner, due to the new exhaust system which can be
adjusted by remote control in three sound stages and
features a racing catalyst, heat protection, and special
tailpipe (offering a claimed 19 hp), bringing the total
engine capacity to 623 hp.
Besides windows and
tail light tinting, the makeover is completed with a new
tyre and wheel combination. Following the central theme
of this project the drop-center rims are carbon-coated
in a complementing body colour. The front axle features
9x21-inch wheels with 255/30-21 tyres while the rear
axle has 12x22-inch wheels shod with 335/25-22 tyres.
