This year's Italian
Legendary Tour is underway and tomorrow, in a
special change to the programme for this year's edition,
the participants will end the final day at Fiat Group
Automobiles' flagship Mirafiori Motor Village in Turin.
The Dainese and Agv on
the road adventure is now in its third edition. The
group of 50 riders left the Dainese Vicenza headquarters
yesterday to ride for three days on winding roads and
bends through spectacular Northern Italian landscape in
the company of champions whose names are part of
motorcycle racing history.
Together with the
participants, Giacomo Agostini, Marco Lucchinelli, Carl
Fogarty, and Marco Simoncelli will take their turns in
the saddles of motorcycles from Ducati, MV Agusta,
Honda, Yamaha and Benelli on a tour branded with Italian
identity in celebration of the nation’s 150th birthday.
In a change from last season’s event two legs of the
tour, today's second leg and tomorrow's third leg, will
be open to the public: Today (Friday),
at the Hangar Aereo
Club in Como, Via Masia 44, the champs and the
participants will meet fans and narrate the first two
days of the tour. The group will be welcomed by Como
Moto2 racer, Claudio Corti.
Then, tomorrow
(Saturday) afternoon, at the MotorVillage Mirafiori in
Piazza Cattaneo 9, Turin, the tour’s last stop will
feature a Dainese and Fiat press conference attended by
David Philippaerts and Marco Lucchinelli with all the
backstage details in the words of the riders themselves.
The press conference will also provide the occasion for
a sneak peak at the Supercross SX Series European Tour.
The Italian
Legendary Tour is a Dainese and AGV project that
combines the best expressions of motorcycle protection
culture over the years in the name of Made in Italy.
The idea is to promote and enhance the motorcycle
world’s traditions of excellence through its
protagonists in each context of reference. Leather
suits, Dainese protectors, and the AGV helmets worn by
the champions, and last but not least, great racers who
defined different epochs themselves to live on in the
memories of the fans.
