Fiat
Automóveis' Uno has received a boost to its budding
credentials as it has been chosen by the influential
Brazilian magazine Quatro Rodas as the winner of the
category Hatch Compacto de Entrada ("Compact
Entry Hatchback") in its comprehensive annual customer
satisfaction survey.
The Uno, which was first
launched onto the Brazilian market last May, was the car
in its hotly contested category of the Quatro Rodas
survey that came out with the highest
rate of satisfaction amongst its owners.
Initially, the Uno
debuted on the Brazilian in 5-door format (along with a
more pumped-up, lifestyle-focused "Way" option), while
the "Sporting" version was added to the range last
October, followed by 2-dr bodyshell. It is now Fiat's
best-selling car in Brazil.
This was the eleventh
edition of the Quatro Rodas survey, called
Os Eleitos
("The Right Stuff"), and the Uno collected an unbeaten
final score of 93.5 points. In particular the
design of the Uno
came out tops with a total of 106.2 points (against the
category average of 93.9 points) as well as for its modern design,
which was awarded 103.3 points (the category average was 89.3
points). The Uno also won out in the voting categories
for
interior space, trunk, resale price and network size.
The Uno however wasn't the only winner for Fiat
Automóveis in the Quatro Rodas awards this year
as the Palio Weekend (the estate version of the Palio
family) ran out as the champion in the
category reserved for station wagons and light sport utility
vehicles. Among
the positive comments to come from Palio Weekend owners'
were the design, the trunk
and the resale price. During the research process for
this year's eleventh edition of the
Os Eleitos
("The Right Stuff")
survey, the Brazilian magazine collected information
from 2,931 car owners.
