Fiat Group Automobiles Belgium delivered
just its first Fiat Professional utility
vehicle to bpost, the Belgian post office, on the occasion of the Brussels
Motor Show. Luc Gyselen, Fiat
Professional’s Country Manager for Belgium, presented
the keys for the vehicle (a Fiat Ducato) to Daniel
Rodaro, bpost’s National Operational Support Manager.Fiat Group Automobiles
Belgium is delighted to have won this new strategic
contract with a major customer on the Belgian market.
This contract was concluded within the framework of
cooperation with Corporate Mobility Lease Division, a
subsidiary specialising in financing and leasing of
vehicles for the marques of Fiat Group Automobiles
Belgium.
The contract covers
delivery of approximately 200 vehicles a year (for a
duration of two years, renewable for a further two years
if required). It specifically relates to the Fiat Scudo
and Fiat Ducato light commercial models, which are intended for the
postal services and also for bpost’s maintenance and
cleaning departments.
Fiat Professional is
in a position to deliver the first 16 vehicles to bpost
(versions destined for the maintenance department) as
from this month. Another initial order for 60 vehicles
has been booked for the first quarter of 2011.
Luc
Gyselen, Fiat Professional’s Country Manager for
Belgium, says, “The contract we have just concluded with
bpost demonstrates the high quality of Fiat
Professional’s range of utility vehicles. In
this context, I wish to stress at this point the work
our fleet department has done, which was really
instrumental in winning this contract. With this
contract, we are also sending an important signal to the
world of fleet owners.
“Furthermore, I’d also like to point out here that Fiat
is the only marque in Europe to have a division
specifically dedicated to developing and manufacturing
utility vehicles. This enables us to offer our customers
a varied range, with particularly strong arguments
supporting the levels of service, comfort and safety we
offer, as well as our respect for the environment. All
these arguments impact strongly on the motivation of
teams using our vehicles, on work quality, employee
safety, and utilisation costs.”
