					Fiat had
a reasonable September in Germany, its sales up 3.5
percent year-on-year although it underperformed the
overall market which was up 8.1 percent; Alfa Romeo
however lost ground, down 11 percent. In total 280,689
new cars were sold in Germany last month.

The Fiat brand has struggled for sales in Germany for
more than a year now although the plunge has finally
steadied in recent months although it has shown few
signs of being able to match the market, and its 6,749
sales in September was up 3.5 percent on the same month last year gave
it a 2.4 percent share of the sales action.

Alfa Romeo's year-long positive run in Germany crashed
to a halt in August and in September it was negative for
a second consecutive month as the
driving effect of the new Giulietta has worn off now the
						C-segment hatchback has been on
sale for a year - 770 cars sold in September by the
						sports brand was down 11
percent year-on-year and gave it a 0.3 percent share of
						the market.

Of the niche brands Lancia had another promising month
(at least if compared to the recent past) and 195 sales
was up 99 percent year-on-year albeit with just a 0.1
share of all September sales. Chrysler Group sales are still
counted as a combined total in Germany although of the 535 sales
registered last month, all or almost all would have been Jeeps.
That total was up 15.6 percent year-on-year.

For the year-to-date 2,401,736 cars have been sold in
Germany, up 10.8 percent on the same period last year.
The Fiat brand has 64,826 sales so far this year , up
3.9 percent year-on-year for a 2.7 percent share of the
						overall market.

Alfa Romeo has 8,471 registrations for the year-to-date
in Germany which equates to a 0.4 percent share of the market. That
adds up to a healthy 41.3 percent year-on-year rise, the
second-best performer in these terms on this market so far this year,
						placing it narrowly behind
Volvo which is up 42.3 percent.
Lancia meanwhile has 1,338 sales for the first three
quarters of the year in Germany which is up 18.8 percent on the
same nine month period last year and gives it a 0.1
						percent market share.
