Amari Supercars UK has
announced the launch of its own in-house styling and
tuning division, and the first project out of the blocks
is set to be a conversion close to the owner's heart,
involving the Lamborghini Gallardo.
Sheik Amari, the owner
of Amari Supercars, is a member of the UK Lamborghini
owners club and life time enthusiast of the Sant'Agata
Bolognese-based brand.
The new Amari Design
offshoot is something, the company says, that has been
thought about for a while and will add another piece to
Amari Lifestyle business. These comprise of: Amari
Supercars, one of the largest supercar dealers in the
UK, D1 Ultimate driving holidays which aims to recreate
the atmosphere of "mini Gumball" rallies for groups
of friends as well as Amari Service which is an
independent supercar service centre and is the only
company in the UK, apart from Lamborghini UK, to have
the LARS diagnostic system on site.
First up from Amari
Design will be a project involving the Gallardo, set to
be called the "Invidia Edition by Amari Design". The
company has presented two photoshops of how the
completed sports car makeover will look and it involves
new front and rear bumper sections, with a distinctive
new profile being in evidence at the front, complete
wider new front wings as well new rear three quarter
panels (with vertical air exits in the rear surfaces)
and side skirts that interlock the sections, a carbon
fibre front lip, carbon fibre diffuser, carbon fibre
rear spoiler which is perched on the rear panel,
eye-catching deep forged concave wheels, and
finally, a new stainless steel exhaust system. The side
skirts also feature small angular carbon fibre inserts.
The interior has also
seen a makeover with carbon fibre in a range of
different colour weaves available for customers to
choose from, while the Gallardo Invidia Edition also
comes with carbon fibre racing-style seats which
are trimmed in Alcantara.
The final area of
modification will come under the engine cover where the
Gallardo's stock 510 HP will be uprated to 750HP,
although Amari Design isn't revealling yet how this will
be achieved. The company does add though that the work
will be carried out in its Amari Service division under
the leadership of head mechanic John Greatorex, and that
the first conversion will be completed by the end of
April.
