chassis number 0515GT – owned by American Zagato
collector David Sydorick was prized with Best of Show
award at Uniques Special Ones International Concours
d’Elegance in Florence. Two different juries (both
technical and stylistic) voted it the winner among the
82 collectible cars that were entered. During the final
contest the 250 GTZ 1956 was chosen ahead of a Bugatti
Type 57S Cabriolet 1938 and the Ferrari 268 SP 1962.

Zagato won also all the prizes on offer in its class

with the Press award, which was presented by Gentleman
magazine Director Franz Botré. Marella Zagato, Andrea
Zagato’s wife, was on the catwalk at the wheel of one of
rarest modern Ferraris. "The 575," said Mr. Botré,
"enhances Ferrari 250 GT Zagato’s tradition on a modern
						take."
						Alfa Romeo TZ3
Stradale 2011 and Aston Martin V12 Zagato 2011 supported
by more than twenty Zagato “unique” cars
						The two Zagato
creations from this year came together on display at
Uniques Special Ones. Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale (a
limited edition of 9 units) was in Florence for its
European première alongside one of the two Aston Martin
V12 Zagatos (which won the Design Award for concept and
						prototypes at 2011 Villa d’Este Concourse d’Elegance)
which attended the 24 Hours of Nurburgring on last May.
Their presence was supported by 25 Zagato bodied cars
which covered more than 90 years of the Milanese
Atelier’s story starting from the Alfa Romeo 6C 1500
Testa Fissa Zagato in 1932 to the Bentley Continental GT
Zagato from 2008 (only 9 units produced).
						Ferrari 250 GTZ
						1956
						Only five Ferrari 250
GTZs were ever built. 0515GT was the first one on and
one of only two with the distinctive Zagato’s
“double-bubble”. It was commissioned to Zagato in 1956
by Milanese gentleman driver Vladimiro Galluzzi who
entered it in several races and Concours d’Elegances
until the beginning of the Sixties: Coppa d’Oro delle
Dolomiti, Giro delle Calabrie, Bolzano – Mendola
hillclimb, Coppa Intereuropa Monza, Trieste – Opicina
hillclimb. 0515GT entered the Sydorick Zagato collection
in the end of the 90s and participated in the most
important events for classic collectible cars: Pebble
Beach Concours, Mille Miglia, Cavallino Classic and
						Villa d’Este Concourse d’Elegance.
						Ferrari 575 GTZ
						2006
						The 575 GTZ has an
all-aluminium body, and, as a tribute to Ferrari and to
two-seater Italian sports cars, it joined the exclusive
group of cars that are the fruit of the tradition of
custom-built process. When in 2005 a famous Ferrari
collector wanted a Zagato 575, Milanese atelier informed
Ferrari of the project, mentioning it would have been a
good opportunity to celebrate the model’s anniversary.
The result is a car that harked back to the 250 GTZ,
built around the Ferrari 575. Paint and trim of every
car  is absolutely was customized on the customer’s
request. Only 6 units of the Ferrari 575 Coupé Zagato
were built. In combination with only three 550 Barchetta
Zagato, total production of Ferrari 550 – 575 with
Zagato coachwork is only 9 units.
						Alfa Romeo TZ3
						Stradale
						The “TZ3 program” ends
with the beginning of deliveries of the TZ3 Stradale.
It’s is based on the Viper ACR mechanical chassis (640
hp) with a carbon fibre body. “Bellezza necessaria”
(“necessary beauty”) is the inspiration of this car
which matches for the first time an USA power train and
can represent the first American Alfa Romeo. It
celebrates the road legal heritage of Alfa Romeo Zagato
						coupés: RLSS,  1500,  1750,  2300 and 2900 Zagato (20s
						and 30s), 6C 2500 Panoramica, 1900 SSZ  and the
Giulietta SVZ (40s and 50s), SZ, 2600 SZ, Giulia TZ and
						Junior Z (60s and 70s) and S.Z. and R.Z. (80s and 90s).
This car, like the TZ3 Corsa, was developed to take
advantage of the Kamm tail effect.
						Aston Martin V12
						Zagato
						Featuring a
handcrafted aluminium and carbon fibre body, the V12
Zagato delivers a muscular design not possible using
pre-formed panel techniques. There are Zagato design
cues, which include the double bubble roof. The V12
Zagato was officially introduced at 2011 Villa d’Este
Concorso and won (second time in a row for a Zagato
bodied car) the Design Award for concepts and
prototypes. A month later, two cars completed the 24
Hours of Nürburgring one of the hardest motorsport
competitions in the world. The V12 Zagato will be
produced in a limited edition: up to 150 units that will
						be produced in 2012.
