The third round of the

place at the Shanghai Circuit last weekend, with over
twenty competitors taking to the track at the wheel of
the 458 Challenge in the Trofeo Pirelli and Coppa Shell
categories. They ran in two races with separate
classifications, both producing some thrilling action
for the fans who packed the grandstands. There was some
spectacular overtaking and overall, a high level of
competition, showing that this new championship is
proving ever more popular with its competitors.
For those 458 Challenge cars running in the Trofeo
Pirelli, the first race was dominated by Anthony Liu
(China) who crossed the line ahead of Ringo Chong
(Singapore) and Hisamori Hayashi (Japan). Race 2 of the
Trofeo produced a dramatic result with victory going to
Hayashi (Japan), who beat Liu and Eric Kwong (Hong
Kong). The situation was wide open in the Coppa Shell,
with the top spot in Race 1 going to Tack Sung Kim
(South Korea), who crossed the finish line in front of
Steve Wyatt (Australia) and Gregory Teo (Singapore),
second and third respectively. Wyatt emerged victorious
in Race 2, followed home by Teo and Rudi Laksmana
