The Autodromo Nazionale
Monza north of Milan has hosted a day of testing for
entrants in this year's Italian and European Ferrari
Challenge Trofeo Pirelli series. Drivers from both
championships thus got the chance to familiarise
themselves with the famous track, which hosts the first
round of the season over the weekend of 10 April.
						They also had the
opportunity to acquaint themselves with the new 458
Challenge car, the fifth model to be used by Ferrari in
its one-make series, which makes its debut this season
alongside the F430 Challenge. Twenty two cars too part,
six F430 Challenge and sixteen 458 Challenge, taking
turns in two separate test sessions.

According to Ferrari the drivers were pleased with how
the day went and commented on how easy the new car was
to drive. This is down to significant modifications
which have led to a reduction in weight and the use of
innovative solutions which make it fun to drive and also
delivered some interesting times on the stopwatch. The
458 Challenge will take part in a second test session,
once again running again alongside the F430 Challenge
cars, at the same circuit on March 21.
