Fiat is
using "TwitBid" to launch the 500 America, a limited edition run of 500
cars with U.S. inspired detailing. TwitBid is an online promotion
through which it will be possible to win the first example (which will
have a badge on the B-pillar bearing the serial number 1/500 as well as
the winner's nickname) starting from a bid price of 1 euro. Contestants
will have to register on Twitter and then on a dedicated microsite
starting from tomorrow. The bidding will close on March 15. At the end
of the initiative, whoever has placed the highest offer will win this
trimmed-up 500 version which features door mirror covers with stars and
stripes, some interior detailing, waistline stickers and 16" alloy
wheels. Visitors to the Fiat stand at the upcoming 82nd Geneva
Motor Show will be able to see the bids in real time on a screen next to
the 500 America that will be on show. Hagakure is author of the concept
and initiative, while Leo Burnett - ARC Worldwide has handled the
creativity and production of the site. The 500 America will come with
the 69 CV 1.2 8v Euro 5 engine. |
