					Fiat
Group continued to see its sales slide in Europe through
November, the Italian firm posting sales of 59,152 units
and dropping 12.8 percent year-on-year, slightly off the
overall market which was down 10.1 percent.

In total 965,918 new cars were sold in Europe last month
(EU27+EFTA) which was a fall of one hundred and ten
thousand units on November 2011. Fiat Group lost more
than eight thousand units which pushed its November
market share down by 0.2 percent to 6.1 percent.

Amongst the main nine car making groups in Europe Fiat
Group was mid pack last month in year-on-year terms,
						Renault (-27.4 percent), PSA Peugeot-Citroën (-16.0) and
GM (-13.1 percent) all fared worse.

Amongst the Fiat Group Automobiles (FGA) brands, Fiat
had a reasonable month, its 44,442 units was a fall of
7.8 percent but outperformed the overall market to raise
its share for November by 0.1 percent to 4.6 percent
						year-on-year.

Lancia (which includes a token number of Chrysler brand
sales in its figures) though lost more than a quarter of
its sales (-26.0 percent) in November as it slipped to
6,598 units and its market share edged down to 0.7
percent. FGA's biggest loser last month was Alfa Romeo
which fell 34.0 percent to 5,518 units. Its share for
November drifted downwards by 0.2 percent to 0.6
percent. The niche brands were mixed, Jeep was up 15.5
percent to 2,316 units while Ferrari and Maserati sold a
combined 278 cars, down 12.9 percent.

After the first 11 months of the year 11,690,109 new
cars have been sold in Europe, down 7.2 percent on the
						corresponding period last year.

Fiat Group has enjoyed no respite to its decline this
year, its sales sinking at double the overall market's
rate. With 747,956 sales for the year-to-date Fiat Group
is down 15.6 percent and one hundred and forty thousand
units shy of the same period last year. Amongst the main
nine car makers in Europe only Renault Group, down 18.8
percent, has fared worse this year when compared to the
same 11 months of 2011. Fiat Group's market share has
declined by 0.6 percent to 6.4 percent for the
						year-to-date.

The Fiat brand has struggled to connect with consumers
this year and 544,632 sales over the first 11 months is
a fall of ninety five thousand units and 14.9 percent
compared to the same period last year. As a result
Fiat's market share for the year-to-date drops by 0.4
						percent to 4.7 percent.

Lancia closely matches the performance of the overall
market so far this year, it is down 8.1 percent to
88,035 cars but keeps its market share steady in 0.8
						percent.

Alfa Romeo has had a disastrous year and is down 30.7
percent and nearly forty thousand units to 84,784 units
for the year-to-date. It has also fallen behind Lancia -
effectively an Italian market focused brand - and its
share for the year-to-date has dropped by 0.3 percent to
0.7 percent. Alfa Romeo is also the second worst
performing brand in Europe this year in year-on-year
						terms behind Mitsubishi (-33.0 percent).

Finally Jeep has 25,890 sales for the year-to-date, up
19.8 percent while Ferrari and Maserati have 4,615
						sales, down 29.0 percent.
