Mazzanti Automobili has offered a first glimpse of an upgraded version of its Evantra Millecavalli supercar which the tiny Italian carmaker promises that it will release in the next few months.

Evantra Millecavalli is the latest version of the brand's Evantra supercar which was first presented in public at the 'Top Marques Monaco' motor show in 2013. The 'Millecavalli' is powered by a 7.2-litre V8 engine with twin turbos hooked up to a 6-speed sequential transmission.

Power, meanwhile, is a claimed 1000 hp while peak torque is 1200 Nm. It weighs in at 1300 kg while 0-60 mph comes in a claimed 2.7 seconds with top speed 250 mph. Other features include carbon-ceramic brakes. Production is fixed at 5 units per year.

The upgraded version is shown in a couple of new photos and a short video that Mazzanti Automobili has released. The revised car bears decals reading 'prototipo' and visually there is a big new square air inlet cut into the centre of the bonnet as well as two smaller ones to either side.

Along with the teaser video of the upgraded model, Luca Mazzanti reflects on the year just gone. “2017 was a really challenging year for us, but full of success too," he says. "We were invited to numerous exclusive events, starting from the success gained by the Evantra 771 displayed at Salone di Torino, at the several dynamics events that brought our cars close to the fans, until the spectacular absolute ninth place at 24 Hours of Le Mans together with Cetilar Villorba Corse.

"We had the pleasure to welcome many journalists and bloggers from all over the world that had thus the chance of deeply undestanding the secrets of the Mazzanti Automobili tailor-made world," Mazzanti continues. "This year in our atelier in Pontedera, the commitment of everyone has been constant: with the development on the Evantra Millecavalli and the upgrades on the Evantra standard and 771, in line with my usual style, I wanted to push the limit even higher.. in the next months you will find out what I am referring to.

"For this reason, I want to thank my magnificent staff that allows Mazzanti automobili to reach and overtake, day after day, important goals: Tony Andreetta, Carlo Beconcini, Loris Bicocchi, Tonino Cecere, Niccolò Englaro, Davide Ingrisani, Ros Mazzanti, Nico Meo, Andrea Quaglia, Federico Zornetta and Nicola Xella," he concludes.
