Alfa Romeo is rolling out a new trim package for the new Giulia and Stelvio on the North American markets as it looks to boost sales that stubbornly remain well below expectations; dubbed the “Nero Edizione” it darkens the visual appearance of the exterior detailing.
The Nero Edizione, which is exclusive at the moment to the 280 hp 2.0-litre turbo version, has made its debut at the New York International Auto Show at the end of last week where the whole Alfa Romeo range is also on display.
The exterior features of this special edition kick off with the ‘Dark Miron’ finished ‘telephone dial’ aluminium wheels, 20-inch for the Stelvio and 19-inch for the Giulia. The monotone wheel centre caps will feature the Alfa Romeo logo.
The same ‘Dark Miron’ is used to finish the “V Scudetto” grille surround as well as the door mirror caps. The headlamp bezels will also be darkened.
The brake calipers on both models can be specified in black, red or yellow.
Not available at the launch, dark finished exhaust tailpipe tips will be optioned soon on this trim level.
On the Stelvio the rear lower bumper section can be finished in Dark Miron while the SUV’s roof rails are gloss black. That gloss finish will extend to the window surrounds on both the Giulia and Stelvio.
Finally, the model specific badging will be finished in Dark Miron.
