Lamborghini Squadra Corse is celebrating ten years of running its “Super Trofeo” one-make championships around the world with a limited edition version of the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo, which is aimed at collecors and is being produced to a run only ten units, one for each year the series has run.

The Huracán Super Trofeo Evo 10th Edition made its debut last week during the traditional "parade" ahead of the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, one of the biggest endurance race in the world and the highlight of the summer calendar of Squadra Corse.

The car was created to celebrate Lamborghini’s achievement in customer racing, with a livery that enhances the aerodynamics of the Super Trofeo Evo.

The glossy mantis green aerodynamic appendages and a tricolored band, which intersects on the roof embracing also the air scoop and the rear fin, show up against the dominant colour of the body, the exclusive matte grey.

The exclusivity of the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo 10th Edition is also underlined by a several small new details, namely a numbered plate that reads “One of Ten” and a certificate of origin that's signed by Stefano Domenicali (Automobili Lamborghini Chairman & CEO),  Maurizio Reggiani (Automobili Lamborghini Chief Technical Officer) and Giorgio Sanna (Head of Lamborghini Motorsport) as well as coming with a custom-tailored race suit made by OMP.

Like the Super Trofeo Evo in its standard configuration, the limited edition version is also equipped with a 6-speed sequential X-Trac gearbox, Bosch Motorsport ABS, Motec Traction Control, Pirelli P Zero DHD2 tyres and an Alcantara upholstered dashboard, which is the distinctive element of the cabin interior.

Furthermore, thanks to the all-new ECU mapping, the power delivered by the aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine reaches 630 HP, the new apex of a racing tradition that began in 2009 with the Gallardo LP560-4 Super Trofeo, the first of the racing cars derived from the road version that have made the Bull famous in the world.

In Sant’Agata Bolognese, research and motorsport always go hand in hand, as underlined by Maurizio Reggiani, Automobili Lamborghini Chief Technical Officer: “The Huracán Super Trofeo Evo 10th Edition is a tribute to our tradition, a new manifestation of the synergy between Squadra Corse and the R&D Department, two entities linked by a continuous osmosis process: motorsport allows us to perfect the product, which in turn is the basis of the racing cars of the future. They are two spirals that intertwine indissolubly to form the Lamborghini DNA.”

For Giorgio Sanna, Head of Lamborghini Motorsport, the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo 10th Edition is yet another milestone in a life dedicated to racing: "It seems to me like yesterday, when in 2009, as a test driver, I participated in the debuting race of the Gallardo Super Trofeo at the Adria circuit.

“Ten years have passed, full of emotions and indelible experiences that have led us to the creation of Squadra Corse and a world-famous and successful one-make series, to be celebrated with this splendid limited edition of the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo,” he added.
