The Abarth 124 Rally is widening its presence across European rallying as last weekend Romanian crew Vlad Cosma and Ciprian Dorca drove one of the Scorpion's newest rally machines to success in the 38th Mombat Rally Sliven, which counts towards the Bulgarian Rally Championship.

They came home an impressive tenth overall (seventh in 2WD) and eighth in the Balkan Trophy Rally (ERT) category as well as winning the R-GT class, albeit they were the only entry in this category.

Thirty-four cars started the rally and twenty-seven finished the 11-stage rally. The 124 Rally of Cosma and Dorca was entered by Team Napoca.

Abarth 124 Rally drivers' competing in the Abarth 124 Rally Selenia International Challenge are now racing in no less than eleven national championships, namely in Italy, France, Spain, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Romania, Slovenia, Belgium, Austria, Germany and Bulgaria, in addition to the prestigious internationally-organised FIA R-GT Cup.

The Abarth 124 Rally has scored twenty four wins in the R-GT category in European rallying during the first half of this season, although virtually all of those wins have come unopposed.

More importantly Scorpion crews have been on the podium in the overall rankings on three occasions thanks to Italians Andrea Nucita and Marco Vozzo and once more with Romanians Florin Tincescu and Alina Pop.
