Customer requirements are becoming increasingly diverse and cultural changes mean that society now has new expectations of the car, a possession that plays an iconic role in the lives of individuals and the community as a whole. All these requirements have been satisfied by an equal number of responses. The Fiat Stilo M.Y. 04 offers no fewer than 60, i.e. the number of versions proposed by the new model.

These have been created by putting together different combinations of one of the most extensive and diverse ranges in the segment that comprises: three vehicles with different styles (3 or 5 door saloon and Multi Wagon), seven engines (95 bhp 1.4 16v; 103 bhp 1.6 16v; 133 bhp 1.8 16v; 170 bhp 2.4 20v; 80 bhp 1.9 JTD; 115 bhp 1.9 JTD - and 140 bhp 1.9 Multijet), six gearboxes (5 manual and one Selespeed), four specifications (Actual, Active, Dynamic and Abarth) and 13 body colours for each of which is available interior trim in different colours and fabrics.

A range that provides everyone with their ideal Fiat Stilo M.Y. 04. Some may opt for a high-spec, safe vehicle without lots of state-of-the-art toys.

Others will not be content until they have equipped their car with all the latest features. The Fiat Stilo M.Y. 04 is indubitably a car of European spirit because it has successfully adapted to more than 50 markets.

More specifically, the Actual specification comes as standard with ABS + EBD, four airbags (the front bags are multistage with an OCS sensor), a Fiat CODE II antitheft system, remote control, front and rear head-restraints and three-point seat-belts on all seats, electric rearview mirrors, ISOFIX attachments for child seats and a pretensioner and load limiter for the front seats.

Other standard features include Dualdrive electric power steering, My Car (car customisation), trip computer and height and axial steering wheel adjustment. Other features include central locking with deadlocks and superlock functions, front electric windows with anti-obstruction system. Two-tone interiors also come as standard on 5 door and Multi Wagon versions (optional on 3 door versions) while customers can choose the Daniela seat fabric option in one of the 4 available shades (grey or blue on cars with a black facia, light grey or light grey/blue on those with two-tone interiors).

The Stilo Active adds the following to the wealth of equipment already present on the Actual: manual climate control system, radio and foglight. The seats are also trimmed with Doria cloth in two colours: light grey and light grey - blue.

Now for the third specification (Dynamic) that offers the following extras over and above the previous package: 6 airbags; Brake Assist, sports seats (for 3 door versions); Next Generation Interior; lighted vanity mirrors; body coloured handles; driver's seat height and lumbar adjustment; oddments compartment beneath the driver's seat; glass holder built into the rear armrest with a convenient compartment; top-quality Ercole flocked cloth on the seats; leather-trimmed gear knob and gaiter - and 16" wheels. The Fiat Stilo M.Y. 04 product array concludes with the Abarth specification package reserved for the version equipped with a 2.4 engine plus Selespeed gearbox or 5-speed manual gearbox.

The exclusive equipment bearing the legendary scorpion logo offers the equipment on previous versions plus certain prestigious equipment items (some standard, according to whether the gearbox is manual or robotised): CONNECT Nav+, dual zone climate control, Cruise Control and the sophisticated ESP (Electronic Stability Program). Other standard features include rain, parking and dusk sensors, electrically-operated rear windows, leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear lever gaiter, steering wheel controls (11 buttons), body coloured protective side panels and handles, height-adjustable front seats and 16" alloy wheels. Lastly, customers can choose leather upholstery in light grey or anthracite.

Though these four specifications already offer a wealth of standard features, they can be further enhanced by a wide range of exclusive options: these include Easy go, an electric segmented sunroof (Sky Window), CONNECT and a dual zone climate control system. On the new range, the parking sensors are offered as options separate from the comfort pack (parking sensor, dusk sensor and rain sensor). Similarly, the front armrest and cooled/heated facia compartment are options (with an air conditioner).
