This weekend Fiat Auto Brazil have shown the new Strada Adventure pick-up to the national press for the first time, the 'World Car' range's tough mid-size pick-up becoming the latest recipient to receive the 'Adventure' designation.

Brazil's best selling pick-up, now receives the Palio's 'family' styling, with new larger twin-light headlights and grille, while the bigger, more aggressive front bumper sourced from the Palio Adventure, with its quadruple halogen fog lights, features on the new Strada Adventure.

At the rear, the bumper is reduced into two sections, separated by the licence plate, while a new neat innovative feature is the large Fiat logo which serves as the opening handle for the tailgate, in similar style to the Brazilian VW Golf MkV.

Under the bonnet the new 'Flex' system technology incorporating 1.8-litre engine, which allows petrol and alcohol to be used in pure or mixed form, developed by the joint GM-Fiat operation, Powertrain, and first seen on the new Palio, leads the power plant line-up.

Inside, the new Strada gets an improved cabin, with similar materials and finish to the recently introduced Palio, Siena and Palio Weekend models.

The Strada Adventure follows hard on the heels of the Doblo and Palio Adventure models, while a Stilo Adventure is due to debut this autumn. With the introduction of the new Strada, which, with also offers a host of new safety features, My Car, and innovations such as rain and twilight sensors, Fiat Auto Brazil complete the makeover of the 'World Car' range.
