 The Lancia Ypsilon offers a set
of flagship features for a comfortable, stress-free drive.
The dual zone climate
control system that, by way of a central electronic unit, automatically controls
temperature, airflow, air distribution (differentiated into driver and passenger
zones for the first time), compressor activation and recirculation.
This sophisticated technology also appears on other devices that improve in-car
living and increase the sensation of Sweet Idleness on the Lancia Ypsilon. Hence
the car offers Dualdrive, an electric power assisted steering system with City
function; cruise control that maintains a set cruising speed; windscreen wipers
that activate automatically at the first drops of rain; headlights that come on
as soon as you enter a tunnel and a sensor to aid parking manoeuvres.
Lastly, from now on the new model will also offer a sophisticated latest
generation infotelematic system that incorporates satellite navigation, radio,
CD player, dual band, GSM, hands-free phone, voice commands and the bConnect
services. The device is located in the centre of the facia and surrounded by
switches giving direct access to various menus. It is equipped with a 6.5 inch
TFT colour screen (active matrix) that allows the driver to follow pictogram
instructions for the set route on the display (and also use voice commands).
bCONNECT is a telematic product that makes cutting-edge technology available to
drivers and ensures in-car living is even more comfortable and easy while you
are en route for your destination. All this comes courtesy of the GPS/GSM
network and the benefits of satellite communication: one press of the green key
allows customers to communicate in handsfree mode with an operator who can meet
all their information and service requirements.
A bCONNECT operator can find and book a restaurant selected from a list of
prestigious international Partners, set a required destination on the on-board
navigator on behalf of the customer and advise on the easiest route to escape
traffic jams on ring roads and motorways. All in complete safety and without
distractions.
Drivers need not concern themselves about requesting constant updates on road
conditions because the Follow Me function means that the Service Centre operator
updates them on any route changes via text or voice messages.
On the Lancia Ypsilon, bCONNECT also offers the 'Drive Me' service:
customers may request the address or phone number of a private individual or
company. The operator conducts a search and then makes the information available
to the customer by sending a text message to the on-board computer so that the
information can be displayed in simplified manner. In this case too, the
destination may be set on the navigation system by pressing a single key and the
phone number in the message may be called easily and immediately without having
to key in the numbers. |
