Fiat official press release for revised Scudo launch:

panelled van version:

The Fiat Scudo panel van, is the ideal vehicle for goods transport in or out of town. In addition to being a vehicle with dynamic safety and driving comfort, its 'all forward' mechanical layout, with front drive and engine transversely mounted at front, have made it possible to remove all obstructions from the loading floor. This leaves it perfectly free for the load, since even the spare wheel housing is located under the floor. A wealth of standard specification: halogen lights, rear foglight, reversing light, tinted glass, ceiling light in the loading compartment, twin sliding side doors, double hinged rear doors. The spacious rear doors open to 90 and 180 degrees providing easy access to the loading compartment through an opening that is as wide as 1360 mm at threshold level, 1060 mm at roof level, 1265 mm at midspan. The interior dimensions of the loading compartment are: maximum width of up to 1600 mm, width between wheelarches 1220 mm, height 1415 mm, length 2059 mm. The separation between the cab and the loading compartment is by means of a protective ladder bulkhead on the driver side and a full-width 23 cm partition.

combi version:

Fiat Scudo Combi version is a highly functional, comfortable vehicle that can accommodate 5/6 people. This version is fitted with a central 3-str. padded bench with forward folding back. Twin sliding side doors are standard.

diesel engines:

Driveability, ease of handling, dynamic safety: this is what Fiat Scudo engines can offer, for car-like driving pleasure in terms of performance and ride comfort. The engines, one aspirated diesel and two JTD all feature four cylinder construction, high torque at low revs for excellent pick-up, both on level ground and uphill, combined with less frequent gear changing.
