The Vanity has found an exceptional supporter: Eva Herzigova, who will star in the advertising campaign for the new Vanity version. The top model may have donned male garb to advertise the Lancia Y Unica but now Eva Herzigova is all woman as she shows off the Y Vanity: wearing a magnificent evening dress, she enters an exclusive club where women dressed as English aristocrats are playing billiards. The advert is intended to create a picture of the class and style that also typify the Lancia Y Vanity. Special care was lavished on the choice of materials, trims and colourways when developing the car. This is evident in the two new body shades available for the Lancia Y Vanity, Botticelli Grey and Metallic Black, that are added to those already available: Steel Grey, Astral Blue, Titian Red and Norwich Blue. 

On the outside, the new edition offers wheel trims of brand new design and the grille and its surround are painted in metalluro. The car can be distinguished from other versions by the wording 'Vanity' set off against the matte black of the door pillars. The door mirrors, with outdoor temperature sensor, come in the same shade as the body. The tail-lights are in a stylish smoked finish while glazed parts of the car are blue (windscreen, rear screen, swivelling rear quarter lights and front descending windows). 

The result is a car that attracts admiring glances for its appealing exterior. This is complemented by sophisticated and comfortable interiors with new design Swing velvet seats in three shades of blue or grey. These are combined with the facia and side panel trim (also in Swing velvet). The climate control system console, door handles and window controls are also in dark metalluro. On the Lancia Y Vanity, even the mats match the seat colours. 

This supple, easy-going car packed with features is bound to win the hearts of all go-getting sophisticates. In Italy, the Lancia Y Vanity offers the following as standard: climate control system, airbag for driver and passenger, height-adjustable steering wheel and seat, Clarion radio with CD player and provision for a CD-changer, foglight and remote control door opening. 

The Lancia Y Vanity is available with two engines: the 44 kW (60 bhp) 1.2 Fire and the 59 kW (80 bhp) 1.2 16v. 

The second Lancia Y on show at the 27th Bologna Motor Show is a car with the LS specification, now even more opulently appointed. Suffice it to say that it offers the following as standard: ABS, front airbags and sidebags, leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear knob, Clarion radio with CD player and provision for a CD-changer. 
And more. The improved Lancia Y LS offers trims in a new microfibre cloth known as Madras with a brand new design in Blue or Beige colours. The same cloth covers the facia and side panels. 

The specification is available with 60 bhp 1.2 and 80 bhp 1.2 16v engines and is identifiable on the outside by a grille painted in metalluro. Inside, the same shade is applied to the climate control system console, door handles and window controls. The Lancia Y LS confirms its elegant feel with many major styling details. Such as the rear window hinge covers, door pillar and handles: all parts are the same colour as the body. The new alloy wheels also come with bolt covers painted in dark metalluro while the tail-lights are smoked effect.
