27.07.2002 ITALDESIGN BRERA STARS AT GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED
Italdesign brought their
exciting Alfa Romeo "Brera" prototype to the recent Goodwood Festival of
Speed, where, after a series of impressively fast runs it became undoubtedly
one of the stars of the event.
A fully functioning prototype, the Brera, based on a Maserati Coupe floorpan and drivetrain, is Guigaro's interpretation of a large Alfa Romeo GT "tourer". Designed in classic GT mould, with a front mounted 4.2 litre engine set back to give a long sweeping bonnet, four wheel drive, and 2+2 seating, Guigaro has tried to capture Alfa Romeo's GT heritage in a modern, dynamic car. The Brera made its public debut earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show. After several fast runs along the Goodwood course, the Brera was displayed for detailed public examination. |
