The
Lamborghini R-GT dominates the Italian sportscar builder's stand in Frankfurt
this week. The first prototype being shown here is fitted with a huge rear
wing and undertray, its aggressive look enhanced by a larger front spoiler
and wider side skirts. The dark grey 'carbon-fibre' effect paint scheme
along with the stands understated lighting set-up and the Mucielargo's
built-in 'stealth bomber' appearance complete the look of a purposeful
race car.
With
the Reiter Engineering developed sportscar scheduled to hit the race tracks
in Estoril in less than a month's time with Oliver Gavin and Peter Kox
pencilled in to pilot the prototype in the Portugeese round of the FIA
GT Championship as part of the R-GT's test programme, Lamborghini's eagerly
awaited return to racing is well underway.
