INTERPRETATIONS OF THE LANCIA "FULVIETTA"
> THE LANCIA FUTURE
"A preview of the forthcoming cars from Lancia. Fiat Group’s premium brand turns over a new leaf and changes gear; new models, with innovative contents will revive the style of the house. Limited edition sports cars, drawing inspiration from the great hits of the past will excite fans again. A new, revolutionary reorganization of the dealers’ net and their activity. Lancia’s plan of revival bases itself on a few solid foundations, i.e. again making cars worthy of the reputation and tradition of the company; coming up with new models inspired by hit Lancia’s of the '60s and '70s, that are able to make fans’ blood boil; reorganizing, both in Italy and abroad, the net of dealers and servicing, thus meeting the needs of more demanding customers. The second generation Y will be the first model of this new series of cars. It will be displayed at the Motor Show of Geneva at the beginning of March, and will be for sale at car dealerships from the beginning of autumn. In 2004 a medium-sized minivan will be launched, to compete with Renault Scénic and Opel Zafira. The “sporting heart” (sorry, Alfa Romeo) of the new Lancia will beat faster again with three models to be launched in the next 10 years. They will be new editions of the Fulvia Coupé (fondly renamed “Fulvietta” by the Business Unit), the Stratos and the Delta Integrale, three cars which built the myth of Lancia between the ‘60s and the ‘80s." based on an interview with Fabrizio Longo, head of the Lancia division, additional reporting by Fulvio Rivetti |
