23.09.2003 LAMBORGHINI TO UNVEIL A 40TH ANNIVERSARY LIMITED EDITION MURCIELAGO NEXT MONTH |
|
Lamborghini are to celebrate their 40th Anniversary year by producing a special version of the 6.2-litre V12 Mucielago. The 'Murcielago 40th Anniversary' will be finished in Verde Altemis ( Jade Green ) with other exterior changes including metallic grey wheels, silver brake calipers, carbon-fibre treatment to the door pillars and a revised exhaust tailpipe. Inside there will be a special grey leather interior along with a commemorative plaque individually numbering the model, which is expected to run to fifty models, an extra ten having being added to a planned forty to cope with additional demand. The model will be completed by a carbon-fibre suitcase, car cover and a certificate. The model, which has seen all the production run pre-sold, will be unveiled next month. Meanwhile, following
the huge interest in the Murcielago R-GT, the racing version unveiled a
fortnight ago in Frankfurt, Lamborghini are to produce a limited run of
'street legal' versions. In a similar mould to Ferrari's 360 Modena-based
'Challenge Stradale', the R-GT will be a stripped out racer ready for road
use and with production getting the green light, the first models should
be seen before the end of the year.
