Alfa Romeo have presented a stong
model line up at the Tokyo Motor Show, reflecting on the growing importance of
the Asian market, and in particular Japan, to the Italian marque. Leading the
way here is the 8c Competizione concept and the facelifted 166, which is making
its Japanese debut. The 8c
Competizione concept, first unveiled to widespread acclaim in Frankfurt last
month, is having a similar effect here, immediately becoming one of the crowd
stoppers in a show full of original concepts. The restyled 166 saloon, also
unveiled in Frankfurt, has made its Japanese debut here, with strong sales
expected.
The Alfa Romeo line-up is
completed by the facelifted 156, GTV and Spider, 156GTA and Sportwagon GTA, the
new Coupe GT in Selespeed format and a 147 finished in TI specification. |
