31.05.2003  MINARDI ANNOUNCE INCREASED SPONSORSHIP DEALS

MONTE CARLO, MONACO, May 31, 2003 – Following the news earlier today that European Minardi Cosworth commercial partners Trust International and Muermans Groep have demonstrated their continuing commitment to the hard-trying Faenza squad by significantly increasing the level of their commercial support, the team is very pleased to announce that hedge fund management company, Quadriga, is also to step up its involvement, starting at this weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix.

Reflecting the enhanced relationship, Quadriga’s bold Superfund logo will now appear on the engine covers of the European Minardi entries of Justin Wilson and Jos Verstappen, in addition to the existing positions on the cars’ bargeboards and the leading edges of the sidepods.

Sports sponsorship, and in particular, motor racing, continues to play an important role in Quadriga’s marketing strategy.  This year, one of the company’s primary marketing goals is to establish Superfund as the new trademark for all Quadriga funds offered to international investors.

“Once again, one of our existing commercial partners has demonstrated a continuing belief in, and commitment to the team by increasing its investment in European Minardi,” says Team Principal, Paul Stoddart.  “I sincerely want to thank Christian Baha and everyone at Quadriga for this vote of confidence in the team, particularly at a time when we are trying hard to increase our overall competitiveness.  From a brand exposure point of view, it is difficult to imagine a better venue than Monaco, which is undoubtedly the most glamorous event on the Formula One calendar, to debut the new Superfund identification on the cars.”

Quadriga CEO, Christian Baha, comments, “Earlier this month, Quadriga staged a successful event in Vienna, at which we were proud to present all the teams and drivers racing under the Superfund banner this season.  We feel strongly that motor racing reflects many of the challenges of the world of investing, and as such, provides an excellent platform to promote the company and to generate awareness of its products.  We also identify strongly with the fighting spirit that has been demonstrated by the Minardi organisation since it first entered Formula One, and are pleased to announce our increased support for the team this weekend in the wonderful surroundings of Monaco.”

MONTE CARLO, MONACO, May 31, 2003 – European Minardi Cosworth is today pleased to announce that Muermans Groep will increase its commercial support of the Faenza team with immediate effect.  The logo of the Dutch-based property investment company has appeared on the cockpit sides of the Minardi entries from the beginning of the 2003 season, but such has been the firm’s level of satisfaction with its initial involvement in Formula One that it has decided to increase significantly the level of its branding.

Starting with this weekend’s prestigious Monaco Grand Prix, the Muermans Groep logo will appear on the front wing flaps, the top of the rear wing end plates and the underside of the rear wing of the European Minardi PS03 chassis driven by Jos Verstappen and Justin Wilson.

“It’s a source of considerable pride and satisfaction to everyone at European Minardi that the Muermans Groep has decided to increase its commitment to the team after joining us as a commercial partner only at the beginning of the current season,” comments Minardi Team Principal, Paul Stoddart.  “I particularly want to thank Harry Muermans for his continuing personal support and enthusiasm for the team as it strives to increase its competitiveness in the demanding world of Formula One.  I look forward to the day – hopefully, very soon – when we can reward that commitment with some points-scoring Grand Prix finishes.”

Muermans Groep Managing Director, Harry Muermans, says, “We at Muermans Groep are happy to increase our financial support of the European Minardi team.  We hope this extra backing will help to push the team in the right direction and that results will follow.  I wish everyone at Minardi, and especially the drivers, Jos and Justin, all the best for tomorrow’s race.”

Established by Harry Muermans and his brother in 1978, Muermans Groep is today a significant real estate investment company operating in a number of countries, both inside and outside of Europe.  It is particularly involved in the purchase and sale of real estate involving larger companies and financial institutions.  Muermans Groep is also very active in the Dutch market, both selling, and advising on the sale of large buildings and major property developments.
