Scuderia Ferrari have been back on the race track, the team wrapping up a three day test session at the Spanish Circuit de Catalunya today. The test has centered around engine, electronics and tyre developments, with regular testers Luca Badoer and Felipe Massa being joined by former test driver Luciano Burti. Today was the final day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro. Once again, Felipe Massa, Luca Badoer and Luciano Burti were running at the Catalunya circuit, all three at the wheel of an F2003-GA. The technical programme for the day centred on development work with tyres, electronics and engine. In the morning, Burti went off the track and although the driver was uninjured, the car was damaged, ending his test ahead of schedule. Up to that point, the Brazilian had completed 16 laps, the quickest in 1.17.790. Information on the other two drivers is as follows: both men completed 70 laps, with Badoer setting a best time of 1.17.302, while Massa’s quickest lap was a 1.17.780. The weather was dry and sunny, air temperature was 10/15 °C, track temperature 9/18 °C. Meanwhile, Wednesday was the second day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro. With all three test drivers again out at the wheel of an F2003-GA. The technical programme for the day centred on development work with tyres, electronics and engine.
