23.05.2003  FIA GT CHAMPIONSHIP: FIA COURT OF APPEAL UPHOLD EXCLUSION OF GOLLIN/CAPPELLARI FERARI AT PERGUSA 


The International Court of Appeal met in Paris on Wednesday May 21st 2003 in order to examine the appeal introduced by the Automobile Club d'Italia/Commissione Sportiva Automobilista Italiana on behalf of Competitor BMS Scuderia Italia, car nr 22, crew Luca Cappellari/Fabrizio Golin against the Stewards decision of May 11th 2003 during the event run in Enna Pergusa (Italy) on May 11th 2003 and counting towards the 2003 FIA GT Championship.

Having heard the explanations of the parties and examined the various documents and other evidence, the Court upheld the decision of the Stewards to exclude the competitor.

The International Court of Appeal was presided over by Mr Reginald Redmond (Ireland) and composed of Mr Harry Duijm (Netherlands), Mr Carl Christian Hansen (Scandinavia) and Mr Erich Sedelmayer (Austria).
