In
Milan, the 2003 FIA ETCC season came to an end with the LG Super Racing Weekend
party. On the stage of the luxury Principe di Savoia hotel, all the winners were awarded with their trophies.
Monica Sipsz, Alfa Romeo Autodelta team
manager, Charlie Lamm, BMW Team Deutschland team manager, and BMW Great
Britain’s Peter Walker, were invited for receiving the Michelin Teams’ Trophies.
The prize giving for the competitors of the Michelin
Independents Trophy was led by series winner Duncan Huisman (Carly Motors) who
accepted award along with his second placed
team-mate Tom Coronel and Fabio Francia (Clever Cats R&M) who took the prize
for third.
After the Formula
Renault V6 and the FIA GT Championship celebrated their champions, it was the
ETCC Manufacturers’ turn. On behalf of BMW Motorsport, Albert Biermann received
the trophy of the winner from the hands of Eurosport president Mario Codignoni,
with Mauro Sipsz and Jaime Puig representing Alfa Romeo and SEAT, placed in
second and third.
Finally, the limelight was for the three best drivers:
Gabriele Tarquini, Jörg Müller and Andy Priaulx, who received their prizes from
the ETCC promoter Marcello Lotti. |
