Shown to the press on 19th February 2001, this Seicento became Fiat's newest "environment friendly" prototype. Using compressed hydrogen ( stored at 200 bar in six containers behind the front seats ), it is a zero-emissions vehicle. The stack generates up to 7kW at 48V which is then converted to 216V for the motors. Some of the batteries of the electric Seicento are retained to improve the range and performance. |
