17.09.2004 From October, the import and distribution of Ferrari and Maserati cars in the Middle East will pass under the direct control of the Ferrari-Maserati Group

From 1 October 2004, the import and distribution network in the Middle East (Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and Kuwait) will pass under the direct control of the Ferrari Maserati Group. Until now, the business has been managed by Maranello Concessionaries Ltd.

The change in business arrangements in the Middle East area is based on the considerable growth potential of this market.

This is particularly true for Maserati with the opportunities presented by the new Quattroporte. The region has traditionally been important for Ferrari, and the Group looks forward to even closer links with customers.

This operation follows the recent opening of the West Europe base that oversees France, the Benelux and the Iberian peninsular, and that of the United Kingdom.

Together with the well established businesses in North America, Germany and Switzerland, the Ferrari Maserati Group has direct control of the countries where over 80% of its clients are based.
