The Ferrari
F430, the Maserati MC12 and the Quattroporte have won the
2005 Top Gear Magazine award for 'Supercar of the Year',
'Dream Car of the Year' and 'Limo of the Year' respectively.
The twelve category awards are published in full in the
January issue of BBC Top Gear Magazine and will be presented
on Top Gear on BBC2 at 8.00pm on 12 December.
Every year the Top Gear team drives over three hundred new
cars, hundreds of thousands of miles on roads and tracks all
over the world, before deciding which ones have really moved
the game forward.

Says BBC Top Gear magazine editor Michael Harvey: "These
awards come from the heart, not the test track. We don't
claim absolute objectivity, but who is truly objective when
most of us, when buying a car, say its looks rank first or
second when it comes to choosing.
"We do however claim to know what we're talking about and
this latest list of inductees to our hall of fame are cars
that offer a certain unsolicited sparkle in their intention
or in their execution. And usually both. They're great cars,
but they're all pretty cool with it."
Massimo Fedeli, Managing Director of Ferrari Maserati UK Ltd
commented: "It's been a very busy year for us at Ferrari and
Maserati, with the launch of five new models and the set up
of factory owned subsidiaries to cover our main markets. We
are very pleased that our efforts have scored great success
with members of the public and the media alike, especially
here in the UK, a country renowned for its passion for cars
and motor racing. Winning three top honours is a fitting
start to the new business in the UK as a branch of Ferrari
and Maserati S.p.A.."
