17.03.2004 NEW RACING EXHAUST AND CARBON BRAKING KIT FOR THE FERRARI 360 SPIDER IN GENEVA |
|||||||||
Virtually every model in Ferrari's Geneva display was either new or offered a performance upgrade. Alongside the 612 Scaglietti, which was making its European debut, and the 575M Maranello, which was revealing its new GTC handling pack, came the 360 Modena range, itself subject to improvements. Three models formed the mid-size sportscar's line-up, a Challenge Stradale joined by a 360 Modena coupe and 360 Spider. The Challenge Stradale, which made its debut one year ago in Geneva, saw Ferrari's engineers incorporate racing-type solutions in all areas of the 360 Modena. The
Stradale's starting point was aerodynamics, where the aim was to obtain
increased downforce, followed by all the vehicle-specific features such as
transmission, set-up and braking, and in particular the introduction of
carbon-ceramic brakes as standard. The single black
model with its length running white strip incorporating the red, green and white
national colours, is joined by a 360 Modena and Spider. Drawing from experience
gained with the Challenge Stradale and the racing program, the convertible here,
dubbed a '360 Spider F1', has gained a new racing exhaust and carbon braking kit,
offer customers yet another personalisation choice. |
