11.02.2005 Alfa Romeo and Kroymans Corporation announce they have reached an agreement on the representation of Alfa Romeo on the Dutch market

Alfa Romeo and Kroymans Corporation, an international, import, marketing sale and distribution company, announced today they have reached an agreement on the representation of Alfa Romeo motorcars on the Dutch market.

After careful preparation in close collaboration with Fiat Auto Nederland, the present distributor of Alfa Romeo in Holland, Kroymans will take over as importer of the world-renowned Italian brand from June 1st, 2005. Alfa Romeo Nederland B.V. will be based in Houten, in a prominent location adjacent to the A27 motorway.

“We are delighted to be in a position, as a new strategic partner, to support an exceptional brand advance its market position in the Dutch market,” Ton van Soest, CEO of Kroymans Corporation said. “The emotive power of the Alfa Romeo marque name provides a strong foundation on which we can build successfully in the years ahead," he added, anticipating a bright future for the new venture.

“We are happy to team up with Kroymans Corporation and this initiative must be seen within the framework of the further enhancing and strengthening of Alfa Romeo premium brand’s presence in the European markets,” Karl-Heinz Kalbfell, Chief Operating Officer of Alfa Romeo said.

Kroymans Corporation is active in the automotive market as the importer of Cadillac, Chevrolet, Corvette for Europe, Saab, Ferrari, Jaguar, Aston Martin and Kia for the Netherlands, and Hummer and SsangYong for the Benelux and Germany.

 

Cadillac represents the latest (2003) addition to their European business portfolio. Cadillac Europe has been in charge of imports and distribution in all EU member states as well as Switzerland and Norway since 1 October 2003. The main challenge being tackled is the repositioning of the Cadillac brand in Europe.

In order to create significant brand awareness for Cadillac in the European market, Kroymans Corporation came up with the ‘Cadillac Experience Centre’ concept. Under this format, some 25 ‘super dealerships’ will operate in key metropolitan areas throughout Europe. The first Cadillac Experience Centres opened their doors last year.
